Joshua Romatowski is a versatile performing artist in the
Seattle area. Joshua’s playing has been described as “elegantly shaped” (San
Francisco Examiner) “with graceful intimacy” (San Francisco Classical
Voice). Joshua holds a Master of Music in Flute Performance from the San
Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance
from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as an Artist Diploma in Early
Music from the Cornish College of the Arts. In 2014, Joshua placed 3rd in
the Seattle Flute Society Young Artist Competition and was a winner of the
Ladies Musical Club of Seattle Frances Walton
Competition.
Joshua is also an accomplished baroque flute performer. Winner of the 2012 San Francisco Conservatory of Music Baroque Concerto Competition, Joshua performed C.P.E. Bach’s Concerto for Flute and Orchestra in D Minor on baroque flute with the SFCM Baroque Ensemble. Joshua has performed in San Diego with the Pacific Bach Project and in San Francisco with MUSA, the Alchemy Trio and the Albany Consort. This coming season Joshua will be appearing with the American Bach Soloists (San Francisco), Queen City Musicians (Seattle), MUSA (San Francisco), Agave Baroque (Los Angeles), Portland Baroque Orchestra (Portland), and the Byron Schenkman and Friends (Seattle) concert series. On baroque flute, Joshua has received lessons from Janet See, Sandra Miller, Wilbert Hazelzet, Stephen Schultz, Philippe Allaine-Dupre, and Greer Ellison.
Joshua teaches privately throughout the Tacoma/Seattle area. Joshua’s primary teachers have been Timothy Day, Marianne Gedigian, Jeffery Zook, and Janet See.

In demand as a conductor and historical keyboardist, Derek Tam performs regularly in the Bay Area and elsewhere. As a conductor, Derek appears frequently with choral and orchestral ensembles. In addition to serving as Artistic Director of the Star Valley Children's Choir (SVCC), he is Director of Music at First Congregational Church of Berkeley, one of the major performance venues for classical music in the East Bay. He is also music director of the Berkeley Community Chorus Chamber Singers. In addition to his conducting career, Derek is a soloist, chamber musician and accompanist on various historical keyboards, from the harpsichord and fortepiano to the modern concert grand.

Hornist, Sadie Glass, is committed to creating unique musical experiences as a performer and educator. Currently, Glass is on faculty at the Pacific Union College in Angwin, CA, the Napa Valley College, and is an active Teaching Artist in the community. Performing on modern, baroque, and the natural horn, she plays with many ensembles within the San Francisco Bay Area, including Symphony Napa Valley, and the Santa Rosa, Monterey, and Berkeley Symphonies. As a period instrument specialist, Glass has performed with the period ensemble, Mercury in Houston, TX and will join the Albany Consort of the Bay Area in March. Glass completed a Master’s degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, studying horn performance with Bernhard Scully and completed her Bachelor’s degree in music performance from University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, studying with Dr. Patrick Miles. In her free time, Glass enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two dogs, Callie and Macy.
Jane Lenoir, flutist, lives in Berkeley and has an
eclectic career performing in symphony, chamber music, improvised music styles,
and baroque flute. She has performed with the Oakland Symphony, Ballet
and Opera, San Jose Symphony, SF Opera, SF Ballet, San Francisco Chamber
Music Society and has her own home concert series in North Berkeley. She is
principal flute of the Music in the Mountains Orchestra and appears regularly
as a soloist at the festival. For the past 7 years, Jane has been
involved with Brazilian music and other Latin flute styles, and was a founding
member of the Berkeley Choro Ensemble, and co-director of the First Berkeley
Festival of Choro in October 2013, a founding member of Primavera Latin Jazz
and Matiz Ensemble, whose first album, “Confluencia” came out in April
2014.
A native of New York, bassoonist Georgeanne Banker has
performed throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. She earned her
Bachelor of Music degree from McGill University in Montreal where she studied
with Stéphane Lévesque, and her Master of Music degree from the San Francisco
Conservatory of Music where she studied with Stephen Paulson. She is a
co-founder of the San Francisco-based conductorless chamber orchestra One Found
Sound.
